THE RUINS

Guests enter The Ruins through a hidden gate, following a brick path through the remnants of Hutton's 1865 brickworks, past a weathered archway, salvaged windows, and iron latticework tracing the structure's original walls. The path builds anticipation before opening onto a sweeping lawn overlooking the Hudson River, where couples exchange vows surrounded by the raw character of the site's industrial past. Sunlight filtering through bare branches and old brick gives the space a warm, time-worn feel that's hard to recreate anywhere else.

The open lawn works well for ceremony seating, cocktail hour, or a full outdoor reception, and the mix of historic brick and river views makes it a strong setting for photos. It's a distinctive ceremony venue in the Hudson Valley, rich in history, scenic, and well-suited for vows, receptions, and memorable photo moments.
