SELECT WEEKENDS BEGINNING FEBRUARY 13, 2026

Join us as we bring small groups to 100 riverfront acres for weekends built around a single practice: writing with a working poet, qigong with a master teacher, meditation, longevity, creative renewal. Programs run on select weekends, beginning January 22.

Every program is chosen by Director Carol Donahoe, formerly Senior Director of Programs at the Omega Institute, where she oversaw more than 300 programs a year. Each weekend is all-inclusive: your cabin, meals by Executive Chef Ed Harder, all instruction, and the run of the grounds.

The rest is the property doing what it does. Mornings by the water, sessions in a century-old brick pavilion, saunas at the river's edge, firepits after dark.

Choose a weekend. We'll handle the rest.

WHERE

  • Luxury riverfront cabins with private decks

  • 100 protected acres of nature and trails

  • A historic mansion at the top of a hill

  • Locally sourced, farm-to-table food

  • Saunas, massages, facial treatments

  • 90 minutes north of New York City

Hutton Brickyards is a restored 19th-century brickworks on the Hudson, the yard whose bricks helped build the Empire State Building. Today its 100 acres hold 30 cabins with walls of glass facing the water, the 1873 Edgewood Mansion, and open brick pavilions where the workshops meet.

Five hundred acres of state park stand quiet beyond the back fence, and a mile of riverfront runs along the property's edge. There are no TVs in the cabins, on purpose. The setting does a good share of the restoring before a session ever begins.

RELAX & WRITE: TAPPING YOUR UNCONSCIOUS FOR LIFE AND ART WITH MAIA DANZIGER

Most of us are writing using only a small part of the resources we have available. These resources — our intuition, creativity, and deeper knowing — are the foundations of good writing, and a fully realized life. In a safe and nonjudgmental setting, we practice deep relaxation, guided meditation, sensory awareness, and tapping into the “observer self” to awaken the inner voice we’ve always wanted to hear and put that voice to paper.

A FEAST OF QIGONG: A RARE SPRING RETREAT WITH ROBERT PENG

This is more than a getaway. It’s a radiant, custom-curated feast of Qigong — a weekend of healing sound, movement, stillness, nature, and collective energy. Together, we’ll rise with the spirit of spring and immerse ourselves in a powerful Qi field — restoring vitality, expanding clarity, and aligning with the deeper rhythm of renewal.
